Hi Everybody,

May I introduce myself, my name is Donovan Aston and I've been a GENESIS (& the Genesis Family) Fan since the 70's.

This seems to be the place to meet & greet other fans of this Incredible music, So I decided to finally join this forum having enjoyed visiting "IT" for a number of years.

I'm also a Professional Musician and have spent all of my musician life dedicating my efforts to performing Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Steve Hackett, Michael Rutherford, Tony Banks & Ray Wilson Songs both for my own amusement and in various bands.

I have enjoyed the honour & pleasure of Perfoming live on stage with RAY WILSON a number of times, I'm also a founder & current member of Genesis Tribute Band NURSERY CRYME, founder member of Phil Collins & Genesis Tribute Band TRUE COLLINS (2006-13) and I have also "helped out" Genesis Tribute Band The PATH & Peter Gabriel cover band SECRET WORLD.

I'm currently Performing with
NURSERY CRYME.
A solo project "An Evening of Phil Collins & Genesis - One Piano One Voice".
and a new project "SLEDGEHAMMER" A PETER GABRIEL Tribute Show.

[FONT=&quot]DONOVAN ASTON ist an den Keyboards nicht nur unter Musikern ein Begriff, auch als Sänger ist er am Klavier in ganz Deutschland mit seiner Phil Collins & Genesis Solo Show unterwegs. Bei NURSERY CRYME aus Kaiserslautern widmet er sich ausschließlich den Werken von Genesis, als Peter Gabriel noch mit von der Partie war.

[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Für das junge Projekt SLEDGEHAMMER spielt Donovan Aston nicht nur Keyboards und Gitarre, er übernimmt auch den anspruchsvollen Gesangspart. Unterstützt von zwei Musikerkollegen, mit denen er schon bei anderen Projekten fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit an Bass & Drums erlebt hat, ist die Besetzung komplett.

[/FONT][FONT=&quot]JÖRG FESER spielt Bass-Gitarre und beeindruckt mit seiner Vielfalt an Klängen und Spieltechniken. Er ist neben SLEDGEHAMMER unter anderem auch mit der Phil Collins & Genesis Tributeband TRUE COLLINS unterwegs.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Für das Schlagzeug greift Donovan Aston auf ERIK SCHÜSSLER zurück, der sich früher bei NURSERY CRYME bewiesen hat und auch mit TRUE COLLINS am Instrument anspruchsvolle Musik mitzugestalten weiß. Bei SLEDGEHAMMER ist die neue Herausforderung für Erik Schüssler, das filigrane Spiel von Manu Katché nachzuvollziehen, was ihm – laut Donovan – gerade in Songs wie „Red Rain“, „No Self Control“ oder „San Jacinto“ perfekt gelingt.

[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Im Repertoire von SLEDGEHAMMER finden sich außer den Hits wie „Solsbury Hill“ oder „Come Talk to Me“, „In Your Eyes“ oder „Biko“ auch Raritäten wie „Humdrum“ oder „Family Snapshot“.[/FONT]
