Bei mir gings auch überraschend schnell: Letzten Montag hab ich die Deluxe-Ausgabe bestellt, am Samstag hatte ich sie schon im Briefkasten. So schnell hatte ich gar nicht damit gerechnet.
Mir gefällt sie übrigens richtig gut. Klar, früher war seine Stimme wandlungsreicher und es gab Melodien, die schneller im Ohr hängen geblieben sind. Dafür haben die neuen Songs eine tolle, fesselnde, oft berührende Atmosphäre und sind sehr gut produziert. Ich hab es nicht bereut das Album gekauft zu haben.

Soooooo lange warten, dann muss das einfach ein erstklassiges Album sein!

Soo. ich hab das Album jetzt irgendwie wahrscheinlich ganz durch (so richtig am Stück schaff ich das nicht, es ist mir einfach zu langweilig). Garden of Remembrance und Waverley Steps find ich gut, den Rest dürftig bis schlecht.
Sorry, ich hab einfach meine Probleme mit Musikern die ihre eigene Musik nicht selbst schreiben (aber trotzdem immer wieder neue Musik veröffentlichen so als ob es Ihre wär)
Um 2001 rum hab ich viel Fish gehört, war auch auf mehreren Konzerten von ihm bis 2007, danach wollte ich seine Stimme nicht mehr hören.
Raingods ist gut, die Yin und Yang Alben auch, Fellini Days ist rückblickend schwach, Suits ist gut,
Auf 13th Star waren ein paar Songs drauf die mir gefielen und auf Feast of Consequences auch.
Richtig geil fand ich Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors.

'The Last Straw’ was recorded on multitrack at the final show of the highly acclaimed ‘Clutching at Straws/ Weltschmerz’ tour in the O2 in Glasgow on 13th December 2018.
Mixed and produced by Steve Vantsis and mastered by Calum Malcolm this double CD features the entire performance of the ‘Clutching at Straws’ album, Fish’s last with his former band ‘Marillion’ and acknowledged as his favourite of that period in his career.
‘The Last Straw’ also features the debut performances of 4 of the songs from his latest album ‘Weltschmerz’ including the award winning ‘Man with a Stick’ and the epic ‘Waverley Steps’. As well as the two CD’s there is a bonus DVD featuring the entire performance from Cropredy Festival on 10 th August 2018.
