Schön zu sehen, dass es noch junge Leute mit gutem Geschmack gibt. Grossartig obwohl sie nicht überragend spielt. Ein wenig theatralisch wirken die Tränen ja schon. Auch das Orchester könnt besser aber alles in allem gut. Da gibt es Hoffnung das gute Musik erhalten bleibt. Ich hoffe das Genesis bald in die Konservatorien aufgenommen wird. Wenn die etwas Grips hätten würden sie das tun.

lol. Ja, Steve interessiert mich auch mehr. Ich höre zur Zeit gerade "Genesis Revisited II" Ein wirklich gelungenes Album. Es versetzt mich je länger je mehr in Erstaunen, was die Jungs von Genesis musikalisch geleistet haben. Außergewöhnlich ist nur der Vorname. Diese Musik strotzt vor Schönheit und Genialität.

Ja unglaublich, obwohl Hackett nicht mitspielt und Störmer oft eine mehr als dürftige Performance abliefert haut mich "The Fountain Of Salmacis" auf der "Three Sides Live" immer wieder vom Hocker.

Nach "Dukes Travels/Dukes End" mein Favorit des Albums. Auch mir gefällt der langsame Aufbau zu Beginn mit den marschierenden Drums und den leisen Klavierklängen. Der Text erzählt eine mitreißende kleine Geschichte, eingebettet in eine sehr eingängige Melodie mit sehr ausdrucksstarkem Gesang. Der Übergang am Ende in "Guide Vocal" rundet den Song für mich perfekt ab, es geht allerdings auch ohne, wie man in der Live-Version des Three-Side-Albums nachhören kann. Bekommt von mir 14 Punkte.

Ja, auch interessant wie das Thema von "Guide Vocal" in "Dukes Travels" nochmal aufgegriffen wird und wie. Die Jungs beweisen hochkarätige Musikalität. Genesis ist eine der wenigen Bands die auf die Bühne steigen um Musik zu präsentieren und weniger sich selbst, im Gegensatz zu den meisten "Möchtegernmusikern".

Dein Kommentar trifft Notdurft im wahrsten Sinn des Wortes. Hast's über Weihnachten mit der Familie vermasselt? Als Troll bist Du mir schon paar mal aufgefallen.

Vergleicht das mal mit "Catedral Tribut" von Steve. Er träumt tiefer!

Naja, ich empfinde Jazz und Blues einfach als langweiliges, oberflächliches Gedudel. Wie immer lässt sich über guten Geschmack nicht streiten. Entweder man hat ihn oder eben nicht. Genesis hat in der Struktur eher gar nix mit diesen Musikrichtungen zu tun und kommt wohl aus dem Folk und Klassik. Aber jedem das seine und ja... ich war so frei eine Geschmacksäusserung zu machen.

What is it that provides you with inspiration when you sit down to compose new music? Where does your inspiration come from?
Steve Hackett: "As many composers will undoubtedly understand, the hardest thing about composition is actually getting something started. I am lucky enough now in that I actually dream music, and can remember those dreams when I awake. This strange gift only started during the early 80’s, before this I was unable to remember anything of my dreams. I now often find myself getting up at some unearthly hour in the middle of the night to write down notes of what I had just dreamt, and feel quite privileged that I am able to do this. For the lost sleep I suffer on times, it is absolutely worth it."
