Das Konzert war wie schon in Düsseldorf super, spitzen Klasse.Leider lies der Sound und die Arkustiek zu wünschen übrig.Man konnte Phil fast nicht verstehen, alles kam mit einem Echo an, aber das scheint wohl ein bekanntes Problem in der Arena von Amsterdam zu sein.., also nie wieder Amsterdam Arena!!
Schade eigentlich, im Vergleich zu Düsseldorf ein deutlicher Minuspunkt, eigentlich ne Rede um Geld vom Veranstalter zurück zu fragen.
Aber ansonsten eine super Show mit einem prächtigen Bühnenspektakel.
Ich hoffe das wir Phil Collins oder Genesis in der Zukunft nochmal auftreten sehen werden. Ist echt immer wieder ein Genuss.

I was there last sunday and the sound was very, very bad. In fact there were a few moments i reallly wanted to go home. It is unbelieveble that a band like Genesis wants to play in such a dramaticly bad acoustic situation (i read in a dutch paper that during rehearsel Mike Rutherford wanted to leave). Phil Collins was in good shape but should stop with his so called jokes. It also showed that the old songs are of a much better quality that the newer ones. Friday i went to Peter Gabriel and i inmediately understood again why he left and is was very clear again that he has a much better musical carreer than his former mates. Genesis should start making a new album of high quality (like trick of the tail and wind and wuthering) or stop. They have nothing to say anymore with songs like Mamma, Domino, We can’t dance or Hold on to my Heart.

Deswegen habe ich die Shows in Brussels und Duesseldorf gesehen.
Brussels war nicht 100% aber Duesseldorf war einfach Sptitze!!!!
Ein GROSSES Kompliment fuer alle Leute die dieser Webseite machen. Bessere Informationen ueber den Turn it On Again tour hab ich bisher noch nicht gefunden.

Well, Paul, I saw Genesis in Düsseldorf on Wednesday and I liked it ! I also saw Peter in Gelsenkirchen and it was not better than Genesis. I would have been “more happy” to hear more old songs from Genesis , but I think it was a good “mixure” of old and “new” songs. It was (in my oppinion) a good concert ! Peter was sometimes a little bit “boring” in Gelsenkirchen, always standing behind the keyboard and not dancing, but good music, o.k. I do not agree with you that Mama and Domino are not so importand songs. But it is always a very individual feeling and opinion about a concert.

Möchte mich auch einmal kurz zu Wort melden. Die Akkustik in Amsterdam war nicht so doll aber im grossen und ganzen war ich sehr zufrieden. Nur bei Carpet Crawler war der gute Phil nicht zu verstehen da total übersteuert.
Kein Mensch ist aufgestanden (auuser bei der Zugabe).
Nachdem ich in Hannover ganz vorne am Start war, sind wir spontan nach Amsterdam gefahren um uns die Show einmal aus der Ferne zu betrachten. Hat sich gelohnt obwohl die Holländer mich stimmungsmässig ein wenig entäuscht haben. Sitzplatz ist in Holland eben ein Sitzplatz

Das mit dem Ubersteuern bei Carpet Crwalers kann ich nur bestätigen. ich war am 30. in Paris und das war mir da auch aufgefallen. Musik sehr laut und Gesang sehr leise. Das hätte man besser machen können und müssen.
Mal sehen wie es heut abend in Frankfurt ist.

Of course it is all a matter of taste and personal preference, so everybody has his or her own experience. What i meant is that the music of Peter Gabriel has the same depth, complexity and impact as the old Genesis songs, including those from And then there………. After that album it became very poppy until Calling all Stations. Banks en Rutherford should i.m.o. have had the guts to devellop a new sympho sound for Genesis, but they did not. They also needed Phil Collins to get on stage again.
I agree fully with Harry about this website. Really fantastic and i have been visiting it for the last 2 months at least twice a day. Please go on and you have a very loyal visitor. Danke!
